Japan Grants YFCA US $ 36,000 [Archives:2001/08/Local News]

The government of Japan has extended a US $ 36,000 financial grant to the Yemeni Family Care Association (YFCA) for the purchase of a mobile clinic to deal with emergency delivery cases in Sana’a. The government had, two years ago, extended a similar grant to YFCA for the expansion of family planning services to rural areas of Taiz governorate.
The agreement to this effect was signed at the Embassy of Japan February 14. 2001 by Dr. Yahia al-Babily, executive director of YFCA and His Excellency Akira Hoshi, Ambassador of Japan to Yemen. The grant is to be allocated for health, education, poverty relief and public welfare.
